I bought this dress last year with the intent of wearing it for an awards ceremony. As only my luck would have it, I found out that one of my business partners was planning on wearing purple as well.
Just to be clear on something, normally I wouldn't mind this at all. I don't get my feathers all ruffled over another woman wearing the same color or similar dress as myself at events.
However, at this particular event I knew that we were likely going to be interviewed together for video and we'd end up looking too "uniform" (for lack of better words.)
So out I ran to find another dress to wear in anything but purple.
