Here's another one of those corsets that I bought and then couldn't wear!  This one reminds me a lot of those old-time burlesque show costumes.

Love That Labradorite!

This is another one of my own creations. Labradorite is one of my very favorite gemstones to work with because I love how it surprises people. It looks very plain gray right up until the light hits it just right and suddenly it flashes with blue or green!

Moss Agate

In case you haven't noticed, I love the color green.  Moss agate is one of my favorite gemstones to make jewelry for myself with. This time I ordered way too many stone beads and had enough leftovers to make this pretty necklace.

Never a Bridesmaid

I've never been a bridesmaid.  I came close once, and that is the story of how this beautiful beige gown came into my possession.

One of my friends from school asked me to be a bridesmaid for her big, fancy wedding. I was thrilled to accept! I was even more thrilled when I learned that I wasn't going to be stuck wearing some gawdawful monstrosity of a dress that I hear maids get forced into in pretty much every bridesmaid story I've ever heard.

The day of the wedding my task was to pick up the photographer fro out of town and bring him to the event. After collecting him and making the drive back into town, my car breaks down!  I ended up sending him ahead to the event in a cab while I spent the next several hours waiting on a tow truck and completely missing the wedding.

So this beautiful dress that was only worn for a fitting is now available for sale in my closet. Check it out!

It Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time!

A couple years ago I lost my mind.  A friend and I decided to try our hand at customized corsets to sell on Etsy and ordered a ton of plain satin corsets to get started on this adventure.

I noticed that there were several fancy styles available on the website and thought they'd be cute as tops. So I ordered about a half dozen different styles for myself in large sizes so I could alter them to my taste.

Soon after they arrive, I put one on and went out to dinner. I could barely breathe, let alone sit down. My husband teased me about how many times over dinner I asked him to help me loosen the ties in back!

Needless to say, that put an end to any thoughts I had of adding corsets to my personal wardrobe. That also means that I've had a bunch of unworn corsets sitting in a box ever since.
